Supported Lodgings

Supported lodgings is quite similar to ‘staying put’, but in this situation you will move into someone’s home and ‘lodge’ with them. The person you will move to is someone who will have all the checks that a foster carer would, and you will live with them in their home. This would either be decided before you were 18, just like with ‘staying put’, but if needs be you could move into a supported lodgings placement after you had tried living somewhere else. This would need to be agreed by your LCSO and the staying put and supported lodgings social worker.
